BEING IN-THE-WORLD

This program addresses the situation of non-recognition experienced when adverse circumstances that shape the social environment (family violence, forced displacement, poverty, for example) make it difficult to produce particular traits for identification. In the void of meaning these situations provoke, recognition (one's own, that of others, and with the other) becomes impossible. This constitutes a situation of psychosocial vulnerability where other imaginary identifications offered by crime and drug trafficking could be used to fill the void of meaning and produce ideals that can motivate aggression and violence. Narrative construction stimulates literary creativity, as it takes advantage of the lack of traits for identification so that, in the imaginary production of situations, places, and characters, an alternative story can be developed that guide the finding and possible transformation of the structural elements of these situations. This results in the reconfiguration of meaning and, therefore, in the construction of another possible way of signifying reality that allows for supplementary alternative ideals.
